Gerry's, founded by Gerry Power and his Father-in-Law Barnet Feldman, started trading in 1952 on a market stall in Lewisham, South East London. Known as "Gerry & Ben the curtain men" by their customers, they expanded the business into a shack shop behind the stall. In 1964 they opened their first proper shop in Loampit Vale, Lewisham close to the railway station. For 27 years they successfully traded there until the local council compulsorily purchased all the shops in the area to build a roundabout. In between times they have had shops in Eltham, Sidcup and Bromley.
Gerry's Today
Gerry's is now situated in Bexleyheath, Kent, owned and run by his son Andrew since 1989.
After recently refurbishing the shop we believe that we now offer one of the best stocked
ranges of Nets and Ready made curtains available.
